Sponge City Monitoring System

1.Program Overview:

Sponge City construction leverages the natural absorption, infiltration, and slow-release functions of ecological spaces such as mountains, rivers, lakes, wetlands, permeable pavements, forestlands, and grasslands to achieve an urban development approach characterized by natural storage, natural infiltration, and natural purification. This approach enhances water source conservation capacity, strengthens urban flood resistance, promotes the recycling of water resources, and restores urban water ecosystems.

The Sponge City Monitoring System conducts online monitoring of urban rainfall, surface water systems, drainage pipe networks, discharge outlets, waterlogging areas, and construction projects to provide feedback on the overall condition of sponge facilities. It offers long-term online monitoring data and computational basis for the comprehensive management of urban water ecosystems, water safety, water environment, and water resources, as well as for the quantitative assessment of Sponge City construction effectiveness. The system also provides references for emergency management decisions regarding facility operations, supports emergency warnings for on-site operational conditions, and improves the operational guarantee rate of facilities.




2.System functions:
